Service Description

You and your child will learn basic skills, become confident with ingredients, and get chef-guided hands-on experience. Every session teaches the concept of mise en place (kitchen organization) and includes food safety knowledge. Additionally, each new lesson will focus on foundational cooking skills that transfer to other tasks: knife skills, sauces, cooking methods, dough skills, etc. Classes are twice a month on Wednesday from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm at the Port Saint John Community Center. An adult must attend and participate with the child/children - this is not a "drop off" situation. Content aimed at children age 8 - 13 with an accompanying adult. Contact Chef Kel with questions. Fall 2024 semester includes 10 classes, dates are as follows: Aug 14, 28 Sep 11, 25 Oct 9, 23 Nov 6, 13 Dec 4, 11 These will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Class size is set at 8 students. $22 per student, no charge for accompanying adult. Choose which sessions you want to attend by scrolling through the calendar and selecting the time.

Cancellation Policy

For Local and Online Classes: To cancel or reschedule, please contact me at least 5 days in advance. A full refund can be offered only if 5 days notice is given. A credit toward a future event or a transfer to a friend is available up to 2 days before the event. For Private Events: Please notify me at least 3 weeks prior for full refund, 7 days prior for credit toward a future event or refund minus deposit. If cancelling 6 days or less prior to the event no refund or credit is available.
