Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day!!

Time to get baking!! I have two favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes. One I can share with you, one I can't. The one you don't get the recipe for is my husband's cookies. And that is because I don't know it. This man does not cook, but he bakes an unforgettable chocolate chip cookie loaded with chocolate and coconut and sometimes nuts. I think he changes it up as he feels like it, but they are always out-of-this-world good!

One of my favorite recipes for chocolate chip cookies uses browned butter. This is the one I can share with you. If you have never made cookies with browned butter you are truly missing out. It's buttery flavor is amped up and then there's this decadent nuttiness that comes into the mix. Sure, it takes a little more time. These are not cookies that you whip up in ten minutes for the neighborhood kids. Those are great and have a time and place. They work out all the chemistry behind the ingredients, they basically use the scientific method as they experiment to find what works the best.
